Since a well trained dog is a happy dog, and makes a better pet we are now very excited to offer training classes at Pets Pets Pets, in Califon.

Beginning on September16, 2010 trainer Cheryl Suydam, CPDT, CTC will conduct two hour long classes on Thursday nights beginning with a puppy class at 7:15 PM and an adolescent class at 8:30 PM.

Cheryl trains using positive motivational training methods is recognized under her professional business name "Positively Trainable" she is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and is a titled Rally Obedience competitor. She began her dog training career as an instructor at the Seeing Eye, but transitioned to pet dog training in 2003. In 2005, she graduated salutatorian with honors from the San Francisco SPCA's Academy for Dog Trainers. she currently teaches both group and private lessons at St, Hubert's Dog Training school in Madison, NJ and offers private training, and group classes. Her classes range from puppy kindergarten through advanced outdoor training using dog and family friendly methods that enhance a dog's ability to learn while increasing confidence. The results are a healthy, well-adjusted pet. She is firmly against the use of forceful, dominance-based training techniques which often result in 'quick fixes' but ultimately cause more long-term harm than good.

Cheryl shares her home right here in Califon with her husband Terren, 2 young children Livy and Alex, rescue dogs Anneka and Roscoe, cat Cletus and 3 fish.

Cheryl works in close cooperation with well known trainer and author Pia Silvani CPDT, CABC both of whom have a long and successful training relationship with
St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center.
